My name is Laura. I’m a musician, mixologist, and writer, living in the “Rose City”: Portland, Oregon, with my two spunky little mutts, Moody and Ax.
I’m a certified nerd, cannabis connoisseur, vintage fashion addict, tattoo collector, auto enthusiast, former ballerina, passionate home cook, and platinum blonde (yes… it’s a LIFESTYLE).
The inspiration for this blog comes from my multicultural background: I was born to a Swedish mother and an American father. My love of country and rock ’n roll music, in addition to my eclectic practice of Witchcraft combining Wicca and Norse Paganism, have become the two strongest parts of my identity and connect me to my heritage and ancestry.
I started Norse Western, not only as a record and testament of my own life, but a document of my profound love for the two places I’m from- the faraway shores of Scandinavia, and the Great American West. Follow me as I document my travels, highlight my favorite places and people, and share the knowledge I’ve gained along the way.
